‘Strictly Come Dancing’: Latin And Ballroom Dancing

September 15th, 2011 by admin

Strictly Come Dancing is a British aired and televised show that features both celebrities and professional dancers. The BBC network has run the show since 2004. Its popularity has continued to grow so much over the course of the last 7 years that it has become syndicated on numerous other networks around the world.

This show is awesome if one is looking to experience the grace and beauty of Latin dancing. The dance are done in ballroom styles with flowing dresses and immaculately designed costumes. There is a panel of three judges that determine the quality and aesthetic value of the dancing. These judges do seem to be pretty well versed in the art of ballroom dancing and in general are pretty fair to the couples.

The concept has been so widely accepted that many know of its American counterpart, which is Dancing With The Stars. One issue at hand is the fact that the US believes in general that their version of the show was first. This is not the case, the British deriviative was there first, and the Americans had the spinoff. The show is presently being aired in High Definition on the BBC One HD channel weekly.
